These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SSHGrid (“SSHGrid,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) — including our website, hosting platform, AI agent services, APIs, and related tools. By creating an account, logging in, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Agreement
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use SSHGrid. If you use SSHGrid on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and “you” includes that entity.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your province, territory, or state, to create an account and enter into this agreement. If you are between 13 and 17, you may use SSHGrid only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf. SSHGrid is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law or if we have previously suspended or terminated your account for violation of these Terms.
3. The service
SSHGrid provides web hosting and related infrastructure in which a persistent AI agent operates inside a dedicated Linux environment associated with your account. The agent can read and write files, run shell commands, schedule cron jobs, and deploy web content on your subdomain or custom domains, subject to plan limits and these Terms.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practicable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, security updates, and capacity limits may affect availability.
4. Your account
You are responsible for all activity under your account, including actions taken by your AI agent, scripts, cron jobs, SSH sessions, and anyone you authorize to access your account. Keep your password, SSH keys, and API tokens confidential. Notify us promptly at hello@sshgrid.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
One natural person per account unless we agree otherwise in writing. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
5. Acceptable use
SSHGrid is a general-purpose hosting platform for lawful business, personal, and development use. You agree to use the Service only in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in Canada, the United States, and any jurisdiction where your content is stored, processed, or accessed.
You must not use SSHGrid to host, transmit, store, or facilitate:
- Illegal content or activity, including content that violates criminal law, export controls, sanctions, or court orders.
- Explicit, pornographic, or adult sexual content of any kind. SSHGrid is not an adult hosting provider.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or content that sexualizes minors. We report CSAM to appropriate authorities and terminate accounts immediately with no notice.
- Malware, viruses, ransomware, phishing pages, credential theft, or deceptive impersonation.
- Spam, unsolicited bulk email, SMS abuse, or automated messaging that violates anti-spam laws (including Canada’s CASL and the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act where applicable).
- Denial-of-service attacks, port scanning, vulnerability probing, or attempts to breach, disrupt, or overload our systems or third-party networks.
- Cryptocurrency mining or resource-intensive workloads that degrade service for other customers, unless we approve them in writing.
- Content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of others.
- Hate speech, harassment, or incitement to violence where prohibited by law.
- Attempts to escape your sandbox, access other customers’ data, gain root or privileged access, or circumvent security controls.
We may investigate suspected violations, remove or disable content, throttle or suspend accounts, and cooperate with law enforcement. Serious or repeat violations may result in immediate termination without refund.
6. AI agent responsibility
Your agent runs with the permissions of your Linux account. You are solely responsible for prompts you send, code the agent writes, commands it executes, files it publishes, and cron jobs it schedules — even when those actions were suggested or performed autonomously by the agent. Review agent output before exposing it to the public or processing personal data.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of content you upload or create on SSHGrid. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, back up, transmit, and display your content solely to operate the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use your conversations or files to train our own machine-learning models.
You represent that you have all rights necessary to upload and publish your content and that your content does not violate these Terms or applicable law.
8. Copyright complaints
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on SSHGrid infringes your copyright, send a notice to hello@sshgrid.com with:
- Identification of the copyrighted work;
- Identification of the infringing material and its location (URL or account handle);
- Your contact information;
- A statement of good-faith belief that use is not authorized;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder; and
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material and terminate repeat infringers. Canadian users may also avail themselves of remedies under the Copyright Act (Canada). U.S. users may send notices consistent with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) where applicable.
9. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. If you are in Canada, we handle personal information in accordance with applicable federal and provincial privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) where it applies. If you are in the United States, we apply reasonable safeguards consistent with applicable U.S. privacy requirements.
10. Billing and refunds
Free-tier accounts are subject to usage limits described on our pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe. Fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer protection law or as we expressly agree in writing. Failed payments may result in reduced service or suspension after notice and a reasonable grace period.
11. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Upon closure, we will deprovision your subdomain and delete your data after any retention period stated in our documentation or Privacy Policy, except where we must retain data for legal, security, or billing purposes.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, create legal or security risk, fail to pay applicable fees, or if required by law. We will attempt to provide notice when reasonable, except for severe violations (illegal content, attacks, CSAM).
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PURPOSE.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties; in those jurisdictions, our disclaimers apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SSHGRID AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD $50).
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct where prohibited.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SSHGrid and its affiliates from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights or applicable law.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in Canada or the United States, you may also have rights under mandatory consumer protection laws in your province, territory, or state that cannot be waived by contract.
Except where prohibited, you agree that disputes will be brought in the courts located in Ontario, Canada, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at hello@sshgrid.com to attempt informal resolution.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by email, in-product notice, or by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, with at least 30 days’ notice when practicable. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and close your account.
